History
At eleven o’clock on March 19, 1938, at the Andrew Johnson Hotel, Knoxville, Tennessee, the Zeta Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma, Xi State, honorary society for women leaders in education was organized.
Miss Evangeline Hartsook, State Founder, Johnson City, Tennessee, Miss Emma L. Farrell, Miss Katherine Mitchell and Miss Lillian Poe of Gamma Chapter, Johnson City, Tennessee, organized the chapter, taking charge of the initiation of the eleven new members.
